Even if you have never painted before, you can start from scratch with Sumi-e online classes. Basic techniques are taught step by step, and you receive personalised attention to develop your own style.

You will learn traditional Japanese strokes, brush handling, ink and rice paper. In addition, you will receive instructions on how to prepare the ink and practise harmony between lines and empty spaces.

There are online and in-person classes. Online: 4 classes/month for €82, with a trial option for €20. In-person: €39 per class, or €33 if you are already an online student. Schedules are tailored to each student.
